For peer-to-peer learning, nothing beats a case study delivered in person. That’s one reason professionals at leading banks and insurance companies — as well as newer entrants to these markets — have made traveling to Fair Isaac’s InterACT conferences a priority.
“InterACT provides the ability for interaction — not only between Fair Isaac and its clients, but among the end-users themselves,” says Brian Burdick, Senior Risk Officer at Dell Financial Services, who presented on his company’s “universal decision engine” at two InterACT conferences this year. “It allows us to get together and discuss some of our industry’s common issues and how we can solve for them.”

Now, Fair Isaac has expanded its InterACT conferences and given you more ways to learn.
This year, Fair Isaac hosted four InterACT conferences — the most ever in a single year — taking the event to Lisbon, San Francisco, Tokyo and Shanghai. More than 1,300 people from 40+ countries attended InterACT conferences this year. These events included dozens of case studies and thought leadership sessions, from companies such as HSBC, HBOS, Best Buy, Fingerhut, Microsoft, IBM, GE Money and The Hartford.
The Shanghai InterACT marked the conference’s debut in China, and sold out weeks before the conference began in November. Strong attendance from China and throughout the Asia Pacific region showed the demand for this kind of education about best practices, decision technology and advanced analytics. InterACT also celebrated Fair Isaac’s growing operations in China, where we opened our first mainland China office this year, in Beijing.
One of the highlights of the InterACT in China was the debut of a new study from The Asian Banker, showing how countries throughout the Asia Pacific region have adopted best practices and technology for managing credit decisions. Watch for more on this survey next issue.
