IBM + Fair Isaac

"Last year, Fair Isaac helped businesses make more than 25 billion decisions. With its latest deal with IBM, that number looks certain to grow..."
 - Motley Fool, in response to the strategic alliance.

The global alliance between IBM and Fair Isaac Corporation creates a tremendous value proposition for financial institutions worldwide that are looking for ways to grow and thrive in a business environment marked by ever-increasing competition, rising fraud losses, strict regulatory mandates and challenging barriers to retaining customers.

The relationship focuses on delivering the full range of Fair Isaac’s advanced analytic software and tools through IBM’s established technology infrastructure at the world’s top financial institutions. Through this alliance, IBM is now a global reseller of Fair Isaac’s core analytic capabilities for financial services providers. The joint initiative is a direct outgrowth of IBM’s increased focus on delivering best-in-class software and tools to meet the needs and requirements of specific industries.

Delivery Options through IBM

IBM is a global reseller of Fair Isaac’s core analytic capabilities for financial service providers, with Fair Isaac’s analytics technologies either being sold outright or on an outsourcing basis through IBM’s on-demand model.  Under this “utility” model, financial services companies pay only for the technology services they use.  This cost-effective approach is becoming more common within the financial services industry, analysts say.

  • IBM-Hosted Capstone for account origination;
  • IBM-Hosted Falcon option to counter IT resource shortfall objection
  • IBM-Hosted Collections Outsourcing w. Debt Manager, Placement Plus for end-to-end collections and recovery solution delivered by IBM services.

Fair Isaac and IBM also provide joint implementation and integration services. Consultants from IBM Business Consulting Services and Fair Isaac Professional Services help organizations assess needs and requirements, develop analytic strategies and ensure full value from each new technology investment.
