Intro Session:
Applying Scores Across the Customer Lifecycle

Wednesday, 11:00 - 12:00
Tom Quinn, Scoring Solutions, Fair Isaac
For any given credit decision, there are a multitude of different scores and predictive models available, using different data sources and delivered in different ways. How do you choose the right score to use in a given situation? Get some guidance from Fair Isaac, as we walk you through a basic overview of the different types of models and scoring techniques, and match them to specific decision contexts.

Solve Your Problems With Optimization — An InterACTive Discovery
Wednesday, 4:00 - 5:00
Lisa Buonpane, Analytic Applications, Fair Isaac
Barkha Saxena, Analytic Applications, Fair Isaac

Put our analytic team to the test solving one of your toughest business problems! We invite all InterACT attendees to send us a challenging decision problem, and our experts in decision analysis will structure a solution using our Strategy Science methodology. Come to this session to learn about the types of problems that can be solved with Strategy Science, and see how we design the decision model before your very eyes! You can submit a problem for our team by emailing interact@fairisaac.com.

Revenue Assurance Applications
Wednesday, 5:15 - 6:15
Scott Zoldi, EDM Technologies, Fair Isaac
Revenue Assurance Analytics is the latest analytic innovation in the telecom analytics group. Revenue leakage is estimated to account for 7-15% of a telecom corporation’s overall revenue. We present an overview of the revenue assurance analytics solution that consists of analytics that detect reconciliation, provisioning, and settlement issues. The focus will be on the telecom space but we will illustrate applications to the financial industry.

Adaptive Analytics
Thursday, 10:00 - 11:00
Marc Cohen, R&D, Fair Isaac
Deena Narayanaswamy, R&D, Fair Isaac

Traditionally, models are built on historical data and then used as part of operations to score customers as a basis for decision making. There is a clear separation of modeling and decisioning. Adaptive decisioning blurs this separation between modeling and operationalization of decisions. Here, models are updated continuously, using new information gathered during decision making. This presentation will give a glimpse into the future of decision making and showcase advances in adaptive analytics that are being integrated into Fair Isaac technologies. The talk will show how this can be of value in many business settings where (a) there is a high cost in time and effort to build models, (b) data are not readily available for modeling, (c) customer preference/behavior is constantly changing, and (d) the competitive landscape is dynamic.

What's New in Scorecard Technology
Thursday, 11:30 - 12:30
Geraldine Rosario, R&D, Fair Isaac
See what's cooking in Fair Isaac's R&D Labs to add new dimensions to scorecard development. We'll look at new techniques — including multiple-goal technology, dual-score reject inference and variable clustering — and discuss the business benefits and case study results.

Model Builder Adoption at HBOS — A Case Study
Thursday, 2:00 - 3:00
Gerard Crispie, HBOS
Andy Flint, EDM Technologies, Fair Isaac

In June 2005, HBOS selected Fair Isaac's Model Builder and its scorecard capabilities to develop predictive models for new card applicants. In this session, you will learn the unique capabilities that HBOS found in Model Builder, and how these deliver real business benefit to the card business. Further, HBOS's Gerard Crispie will discuss the advantages of the new technologies in Model Builder, and how and why HBOS plans to expand its use of Model Builder.

Make Your Modeling Team World-Class
Thursday, 3:30 - 4:30
Chisoo Lyons, Analytic Applications, Fair Isaac
Organizations around the world have made investments in analytic talent and technology to stay ahead of their competition — but proving the cost/benefit isn't always easy. Fair Isaac will share some common challenges that organizations face: recruiting and retaining talent, implementing robust methodologies and best practices, improving productivity, and ensuring high-impact results, all while driving the team to innovate. Hear how other in-house analytic teams have met these challenges, and learn what Fair Isaac can do to help you increase the return on your investment in your modeling talent.

Cutting-Edge Analytics to Predict Risky Driving
Friday, 11:30 - 12:30
Bryon Cook, Vice President, Product Management, DriveCam
Bill Groves, Analytic Consulting, Fair Isaac

A surprising new application of predictive analytics involves the ability to identify risk in commercial fleets by analyzing and correlating multiple data inputs captured through a video event recorder placed in a vehicle. Accurately pinpointing and weighting contributing factors is a daunting task, and DriveCam has partnered with Fair Isaac to sift through the mass of data to more effectively and accurately identify behavior patterns. Learn how DriveCam is leveraging analytics and the world’s largest database of risky driving behaviors to predict and prevent future risk for their growing base of enterprise and insurance clients.

Spotlight Session:
Machine Intelligence Zooms Forward

Friday, 11:30 - 12:30
Dr. Robert Hecht-Nielsen, R&D, Fair Isaac
One of the most exotic areas of Fair Isaac's analytic research is Dr. Robert Hecht-Nielsen's groundbreaking work in "thinking machines." In this talk, he will survey recent accomplishments of the Fair Isaac Chancellor Project in areas such as conversational response generation and ultra-high-accuracy colloquial speech understanding. The Chancellor Project goal is to provide comprehensive automated customer service capabilities for our clients that can handle millions of detailed consumer transactions per week with extremely high customer satisfaction. As in past InterACT presentations, this talk will feature understandable explanations of how the underlying technology works, and a startling look at where artificial intelligence is heading.

Accelerating Your Analytic Adoption
Friday, 2:00 - 3:00
Elke Capella, Spira de Mexico
Mark Ryan, Analytic Consulting, Fair Isaac

Adopting predictive analytics can seem overwhelming to a company that does not have the historical data infrastructure needed to build empirical models. But there are several ways to get a quick start in analytics. In this session, hear how diligent project management and proper focus can accelerate your adoption timeline, and hear a case study of one firm that swiftly integrated analytics into its lending practices.
